“OPERATION HAITI RELIEF”
RELIEF AID FOR HAITI

NEW YORK,
January 25, 2010 –Stepping Stones Ministries has just
returned from our trip to Haiti.  We joined together with a team of
doctors from the Chiropractic Association
to launch an emergency
drive to collect
immediate supplies for those most in need following
the recent earthquake, a magnitude 7.0 quake which struck about 10
miles (15 kilometers) southwest of the Haitian Capital Port-au-Prince
shortly before 5p.m on Tuesday, January 12, 2010.  “Stepping Stones
Ministries has a history of responding to disasters and we are now
working in collaboration with
various organizations in New York to
provide relief to the victims” says Herman Mendoza,
Executive
Director and Operations Director.

Collection efforts are underway for
WATER, FOOD, BIG TENTS
and
COTS ONLY. Non-perishable Foods: canned milk, powdered
milk, beans, rice, canned tuna, canned salmon,
salt, sugar, powdered
drinks, cornmeal, and cereals;
pillows, blankets, linen, soap, toilet
tissues, diapers, sanitary napkins, baby-wipes, towels, combs
, flash
lights
with batteries. ONLY THESE ITEMS, NO CLOTHES.

Two 40-foot container have already been sent. We are ordering a third
20 foot container.

PROJECT OF STEPPING STONES MINISTRIES

Funtosalud (All for Health) in partnership with Stepping Stones
Ministries The Dominican-Haitian Project and Dominican American
National Round table with the support of the Dominican Medical
Association and the Dominican-American Society are please to
announce the First Border Health Mission (BHM) to the Dominican
Republic/Haitian Border

The Multidisciplinary approach of healthcare providers, social service
professionals, human rights advocates, and students from the
Dominican and Haitian Diaspora in the United States will make the
FIRST BORDER HEALTH MISSION (BHM) to the Dominican
Republic in November 2008 a sustainable humanitairan project able
to expand the limited direct medical care and social services to benefit
vulnerable individuals in rural areas.
